I'd probably test again in about 4 days time ( first thing in the morning so you get your strongest urine ) and go with that result.

Or organise a blood test with the doctor.

any type of positive means your preg.

if the retest was neg, its probably just cause you had drunk a lot and watered down your wee.

do the test first thing in the morning.

Yeah the test works best at the early stages in the morning as your hormones build up overnight. You can get some early pregnancy tests that area pretty good... I found out very early with BS and the pudding I have in my oven at the moment. I'm 5 weeks now (had an unltra sound last week) and I've known for 2 weeks! Driving me nuts cause I want to tell everyone, but it is so early.

I agree with what TP said. When we were trying to get pregnant, I thought I saw a faint line on a couple of tests, but that was me looking at it in full light and wanting to see it. If I looked at it normally, the line wasn't really there.

Give it a few more days and test first thing in the morning, or if you're anxious, see a GP and get a blood test organised.

The second one i did that was negative was after a bottle of gatorade. I will test first thing tommorow morning (omg, so long to wait) and post again.
I have done so many that have been negative in the past, that a faint line is keeping my hopes up.

You can have false positives - so be wary. The best way to know for sure is to have the blood test to measure the HCG levels in your blood as these will be stronger than those in urine. And being only 3 days late - well you are better off saving your money and waiting until you are at least 7 - 10 days late (aka the higher the level of HCG will be so the test will be more accurate). I know - the dreaded waiting game.

Also the pregnancy tests which hospitals get - well I reckon they are more sensitive that the store bought ones (JMHO), and their stock is probably turned over more frequently than those bought at a chemist therefore reducing the risk of having old tests being used or having been stored incorrectly thus affecting the kit.

The other thing is look for other signs such as sore boobs, mucous changes, etc. Of course everyone is different so dont forget to take this into consideration.

Just an interesting trivia. Do you know that the items that get shoplifted most in chemists are condoms and pregnancy kits?

from what i know, you can get a false negative but you can never get a false positive. your best bet would be to try again in the next few days or go see your GP who can do the test.
